Biography

        Bob began calling square dances in 1973 after having taken one year of square dance classes. He had sung and played guitar in a high school band and calling was a natural progression for his entertaining talent. Bob has called festivals and special dances in Ohio, W. Virginia, and Pennsylvania and more recently in California. He currently calls for beginners through plus in his new "retirement state" of Arizona.

        Bob teaches several classes in the Greater Phoenix area and calls on a regular basis at the Zane Grey Twirlers in Payson; the Crazy 8's in Phoenix; and at the Sunflower RV Resort. Dancers most often request a yodeling song from Bob.

        Bob's newest CD is In Harmony. The CD is dedicated to the memory of Larry Ingber and Ernie Johnson, two great friends who were square dance callers. Larry and Ernie recently passed away, both due to cancer. There have never been better friends and they are terribly missed. The CD has some of the most requested songs by the dancers.

        Bob and his wife, Pat, have been married since 1995 and moved from California to Arizona in 2005. They enjoy camping, traveling and dancing to other callers when Bob is not calling. They also share twelve grandchildren. Be sure to ask to see pictures!!
